I once owned a Smith model19 and was well pleased with it.
I was wondering if the S&W price inflation trend was reaching as far down as this particular gun, and the consensus seems to be that it hasn't.
I have a 3" SP101 in .357 and am very well pleased with it. I was considering adding the 2.25" to my collection at the pawn-shop price point given.
However, I'm going to pass on both of them.
I'm waiting to see the street price on the Newly-announced 4.2" SP101 in .327 Federal Mag.
I'm hoping that the new Ruger will serve to depress the wildly inflated used prices of the earlier-issued 3" .327 SP101 which is the one I really want.
