S and w k38?

I have a mid 1920ish 6" M & P Target in 38spl and it is an awesome shooter. The other 6" that I have is a Colt Army Special (DOB of 1910) and it shoots well but I much prefer the Smith Target over it as far as balance and feel.

I can't answer on other models that are out there as most of mine are pretty "vintage". I will say, if you run across a decent M & P with a 5" barrel - don't disregard it. I was looking for a decent 4" M & P and ran across a %" (DOB 1952) and it is one of my favorite 38s to shoot. Lot's of fun for plinking, paper punching and killing cans - I almost passed on it and glad that I didn't as I have come to love the 5" barrel. At the same time I bought it, I also bought a Combat Masterpiece - another great gun but it sits quite a bit as I always reach for the %" M & P.
