Russian "Wolf" ammo in .45 ACP...?!

No Wolf Allowed

The range where I shoot has a sign that states No Wolf ammo allowed Then it says something about it being dangerous. I never used it so I have no personal opinion.

FWIW, the only FTE's I had on my BHP were with Wolf ammo.

And I broke an extractor, which I believe was caused by the Wolf ammo.

I had some get so stuck that I had to manually open the extractor, field strip and beat on a hammer with a dowel down the barrel in order to get them out.

Yes, I believe they are "fat" (wider than spec.) And I believe that the "lacquer melting/cooling syndrome" can muck up your gun.

So I no longer use it in 9mm.

My AK, on the other hand, loves the stuff in .223

Pendragon, the 200swc feed fine in my kimber classic and my firestar .45. There are also 185swc that are short and stubby. Some guns will choke on these. I don't know if you reload but that place Hardcast where I get my bullets also has 230 grain round nose I'm pretty sure for $30 a 1000 also. They will feed in anything. Mark
