Ruger Service

As someone who has had issues with Rugers from various areas, it is nice that their service is good....(it was when I had issues); however, I would have preferred to have guns that did not have the issues in the first place

Consider me a dis-satisfied former owner - flame if you will; I know I won't own another

my p345 has been pretty flawless so far. lets hope the Sr9 stays the same.

I have a P90. Works fine, but I would be interested in what your problem was. Thanks.

Sorry, I would have responded sooner, but I lost track of this thread.

After about 450rds., It began to have failures to extract,. I sent it to Ruger and they replaced the extractor. After getting it back. It had failure to feed issues. The tech. who did the work, attributed this to the extractor being too tight. In addition, he said he used a “newer type” of extractor.

I sent it back to the factory. This time they replaced the extractor again, replaced the guide rod/spring assembly and “repaired” the barrel. I assume this meant they throated the chamber. In any case, it runs fine now, so I couldn’t be happier.

I sent a .22 LR Mark I in years ago, and it came back worse. I sure hope you are saying that things improved in the meantime at Ruger. IT's one reason I've avoided their guns, except revolvers.

I sent my Ruger LCP back for the recall and was pretty ticked off over the turn around time I received and the fact that my frame came back with another person's slide on it.

I was pretty ticked off actually at the time, but in hindsight Ruger basically replaced the entire upper with no questions asked.

All and all, I have to give Ruger the credit they deserve and will always recommend their products. They are well made and from what I've seen, Ruger stands by them.
