Ruger Security Six

I have the "little brother" of the Ruger Six series, a Speed Six in .357 mag.

Man.....I love wheel guns. I own a Colt trooper MK III and love it. Ruger is a great company and makes quality guns....but the newer "lawyer" stamp on the barrel is FUGLY! It is like a really hot chic with a tattoo on her chest.....Why ruin what was perfectly good looking. I just can get over it.

spyderdude-- Nice Weapon! It looks like you might have snagged one of the early models, 150 prefix. They changed a few things, mainly the grip. Nothing wrong with them, but finding a grip can be difficult.

$300 Security Six Sporting New/Old Grips

Here is a SS I got from an older gentleman just a couple of weeks ago.
I cleaned it up and got a set of New old grips from ruger.
I like this gun ME!

I just picked up one at a local pawn shop for $270+tax. I had a couple about a year ago, had to sell them, and then found this one. It is blue, 4-inch barrel, lots of holster wear, and also produced in 1976. Can't wait to try it out.

Nice gun and nice deal dogspit, I've been looking for a 2.75" Security Six to round out my collection but the going rate is about $400 and I'd prefer to pay $300!

My Dad is an FFL and shares space with another FFL. The guy he shares space with has one for $399. But I've already got 4 of them so I can't see spending that much for another. And I probably won't even shoot it much I just WANT IT. The most I have ever paid for any of them was $350...

I just bought stainless steel 2 3/4 security six for 385 out of the door and I believe it was a fair price ...

$385 is a good price. Even $400 is a good price. They are great guns. If you polish the internals, switch the hammer spring and shimmer the hammer, they are fabulous shooters. BUT, since I am cheap as they come and hate to pay even a good price, it's too much for me. I'm looking for a great price...

I've got about 20 handguns and if I could keep only one, it would be a Six.
