I have owned LC9's since they first came out. Now the LC9S. Yes, it is in my opinion a great gun. Very reliable and thousands of rounds down range. I agree the trigger needs a safety, just too light for CCW. Fortunately I have trained all my life with thumb safeties so no big deal.
I just wonder if Ruger is going to undermine this great gun with this low price point of the new model? Yes now selling for around $200. But we know that price will go down a great deal once they have been selling. So will you be able to buy one for say $125-$150? Folks are already using the "High Point" comparison. Perception means a lot.
Ruger also announced they will be selling the NEW EC9. A version of the LCPll A large handgun for a cheap price.
Has the day's of "Built like a Tank" reputation moving South? Is Ruger now going the way of cheap guns for sale? I am a dedicated Ruger Fan, but not sure for how long.
When the LCPll came out I was really disappointed. I was hoping for a high end model that would be with a Stainless barrel and Chassis etc. Instead, they just made a light trigger. They could have done so much more.
Will they start making low cost models of the GP 100 etc.?
