Sorry for chiming in late here ...
I have a pretty fair amount of experience with Ruger 10/22 mags. I have a Norrell full auto conversion and need to keep it fed.
The best, most reliable hi-cap mag available pre-ban is the Eagle 30 rounder in black or smoke (stay away from the amber ones). Butler Creek steel lips are a close second in reliability but are a little down on capacity. NIW Eagles run $55-60. Steel lips are rarer and command a premium - usually $75-95. Eagles can last many thousand rounds if cared for. If the ejector wears down it can be trued up with an exacto knife.
Butler Creek hot lips have delicate feed lips (necessary because of the speed loader) and also do not have the second, on-the-mag, ejector that the other mags have.
Condor, Ram-line, Mitchell and Eaton mags and drums are generally unreliable and cause fits and starts. I would rather have 10 flawless rounds from the Ruger mag than clearing jams every 3-7 rounds from one of these mags - especially when some of these drums are advertisied for $200!! Caveat Emptor!!
Stay away from rugermags.com. The guy is selling post-ban hi-caps (legal in Canada) and buffing off the manufacturing date (required by US law for US manufactured mags intended for export). Importation and use is a FELONY. Not worth it for saving 20 bucks. Ask him if they are pre-ban and he gets awfully slye - "you need to comply with the laws in your area". No thankyou very much.
