Rossi/Taurus new line of revolving carbines

This is a silly idea. I saw an article on a custom-built rifle based on a S&W revolver 20 years ago. You better hope the cylinder gap is tight or else you'll have hot gases & particles burning your wrist.

This is a gimmick - there are lever action rifles that handle this MUCH better.

taurus is also coming out with a line of semi auto carbines in 9mm, .40, and .45. Dont know when they will hit the market or the price but they look cool.

Not that I'm going to buy one,,,

But I've always wondered why some reputable manufacturer (Like Ruger) didn't make one of these years ago.

With the Single Six in their inventory how much redesign would it take to make an 18.5" barrel and a rifle stock.

I would have bought one of those in a heartbeat!

I think Ruger missed the boat on this marketing idea.

Really? Where are these at? I don't see them anywhere on their site.

All I can say is that if their revolving carbines are as lousy as their revolvers, these won't be very popular. If I thought they would be halfway reliable and weren't so ugly, I'd consider one down the line. The old revolving carbines look like they'd be fun.

It's on page 12 of their Taurus USA's pdf catalog.
Kewl:cool: I totally missed that. Thanks.

Those do look interesting, however I'll probably wait for a folding stock version. Too bad the forearm isn't shorter or it could make a neato SBR.
