Rossi Revolvers

I'm sure only about 1 out of 10 Taurus revolvers performs as it should. That's why they are still in business........

I've read just as much good and bad about their customer support. But then I've read the same about smith and Wesson. Its the internet. Everyone has a brother who's roommate's uncle's ex wife's landlord's step son knew a guy that went to college with a guy who was a marine and his gunnery sergeant's was once stationed with a guy who rode on a plane with the designer of that gun who quit the project because it had problems.

no problems here

I actually have real hands-on ownership of 2 stainless Rossi revolvers, one a 3'' .44 special with target sights, and a 2'' .38 special. Both have been excellent guns. Not even one issue in about 10 years.

My dad bought a 5 shot 38 Rossi with 4 inch barrel at academy for $174. Sweet shooting little gun. I wouldn't want to be on the other end.

I'd say you have it backwards son.

Question, what experience have you had with them?
Since I am officially a senior citizen (plus some), I very much doubt that you're anywhere near old enough to be calling me "Son," Sonnyboy.

Experience? I have owned Taurus revolvers, and I currently own one. I own it only because it was the cheapest .22LR double action revolver I could find and I needed one for teaching NRA Basic Pistol classes. As to Rossi -- my wife is from South America and Rossis are prevalent in her native country. I've probably seen more of them than you'll see in your entire lifetime.

Don't make the mistake of assuming that everyone who disagrees with you has no experience ... Sonny.

My two Rossi's are around 19 to 22 years old. They were built much better back then. I am very pleased with them. They are both very good firearms. Almost S&W quality but still not quite egual to S&W. They are both stainless steel and are very accurate, I do not think I would want a brand new one now though.

For the past few years my daily carry weapon has been a Rossi 462. I have fired over three thousand rounds of assorted .38 and .357 rounds without a single breakage or malfunction. I wouldn't trade it for all of the S&W's and Rugers east of the Mississippi...nuf said!

I inherited a Rossi/ Interarms 720 .44spl from my father. He's had it for 15yrs without any issues. He carried it regularly. I took it to the range on Thursday for the first time and it was an experience. I put 200rnds thru her and she performed flawlessly. I love this revolver. It has replaced my Baretta 92S as my bedside gun.

OK Pops.:D

I think if they (Taurus/Rossi) made more bad ones then good ones I doubt they would still be in business IMHO.

I'm not defending either, nor am I promoting them.

I even tried to talk my buddy out of buying a Taurus 605 for carry after I found a Ruger SP101 for $80 more. It's his life.
