Well I have been at this bp revolver stuff for several weeks, and am enjoying getting the ruger up and running, #11 caps have been all that are available here, they produce some jams with the oem nipples, switched to uncle mikes and no more grief from wayward caps. I picked up both a ted cash and a traditions inline capper. The tc had problems with the caps flipping over and a lip hanging up the cap on the exit end. A few taps with a small ball peen hammer fixed the flipping problem and a dremeled radius on the lip took care of that problem. I had to grind in a clearance in the capper to get the traditions to fit the ruger cylinder.
Both cappers experience problems with the cap hanging in the capper instead of the nipples on occasion. I read where one fellow had drilled a hole in a wire cutter to resize the caps. Just happened to have an old pair of wire cutters. I also made a clearance hole in the cappers so I can push the cap on the nipple if the cap hangs in the capper, weather permitting I will give it go an monday.
