Well, Andrew, I disagree.The "gun issue" is the only yardstick I have to hold up to a political hopeful. Few of them are able to reach national prominence without establishing a record in that area, it's been closely watched for years. I think one has to disregard about everything a candidate tells you about himself and look at what he's actually done. Also, relying on the Republican majority to further conservative values seems to be somewhat disappointingly inneffective, seems to me.

I believe that with the list I posted the hillary poses the biggest threat the firearms.

I respect those of you who will vote based on that. I myself see it a bit differently. Im a big supporter of gun rights but im also a pretty big supporter of alternative fuel resources and enviromental preservation.

I know im outnumbered in this case. So i better run now! :D

Absolutely incorrect.

First, there's the issue of executive orders. Hillary, or any other democrat, would, without a doubt, abuse the power of executive orders to harm the RKBA as much as possible. The liberal/left once thought gun owners to be a convient scapegoat to scare up votes from the sheeple. But after gun owners directly caused the last two presidential defeats, they will go after the RKBA hammer and tong to punish and neuter the movement.

Next, the president determines who gets on the Supreme Court. Whomever Hillary nominates, would make Ginsberg look like Goldwater. One bad court ruling would tear the guts out of the 2nd Amendment, and it would be permanent. While Bush could have nominated better people, there's no doubt a democrat would have gotten the worst possible people, as far as the RKBA is concerned.

So it matters a great deal who is president, and what their stance on RKBA is.

There are many outcomes regardless of who you vote for that could mean no good for us gun owners. Regardless of it being a republican or a democrat.

I do withdraw some of what I said on the part of having a majority. There are loopholes all over. There will always be loopholes and they will always be used. Even the Supreme Court can be left powerless. (Read it in a book forgot the name).

Incorrect, he did ban guns. He pushed through both the Brady act, and the Assault weapons ban. He also gave us Ginsberg and Breyer, both of whom would vote against the RKBA in a heartbeat.

Again, incorrect.

If you look at the state level, the republicans have made great strides in the RKBA, against savage opposition by the democrats. On the national level, they might not be pushing the anti-gun laws back, but they aren't pushing them forward either, unlike the democrats who have made it their mission in life to strip our 2nd Amendment rights away.

You need to face facts - the democrats are the anti-gun party, plain and simple. And if someone is anti-gun, it means they're anti-freedom, and that's someone I won't vote for, despite their other (usually empty) promises.
 
Find me a more pro-gun viable candidate, and I'll be interested.

But PLEASE stop serving that stuff about Giuliani being pro-gun.
