Revolver

I have had the GP 100 in just about every configuration. I'm down to just a 4 inch stainless with night sights anc champhered chambers. I carry it by day and put it on the night stand.
I also have a 4 inch 625 full lug and a 625 Mountain gun, both 45acp. I gave $450 (Out The Door) for the mountain gun and $550 OTD, for the newone with the full lug. I found the Mountain gun on Gunbroker.com
I have around 100 full moon clips. Local gun store used to sell them for a quarter. Now their 50 cents. Inflation.
I also have 500 rounds of 45 AutoRim. Believe it or not, PMC loads new .45 AR with 185 gr wadcutters.
It's really nice to be able to start at the bottom of the powder charge range and not worry about cycling a slide. Gotta love the full moon clip guns. Wish there was one in 9mm.

Any way, either the GP or the 625 will serve you well. I like the 625 but the gun depends on moon clips or oddball ammo. I suggest stocking up on the moon clips. Their springs never wear out. :D
I also really like the GP. Almost indistructable. A new mainspring from Wolff and the DA is reasonable. Another few thousand rounds and it should be quite smooth. There is a 4 inch available on Gunbroker.com right now for around $250. Add shipping and dealer fees and it's in your hand for $300 or so.
