Revolver carry ... I'm in the minority

OP - I don't think you're in the minority at all . . . I'm probably in an even higher minority - I have a Ruger 357 LCR and I usually have it loaded with 38 spls . . . . I don't like things that make a terrific noise . . . :D

And no . . . the cake is not a lie . . . today's is German Chocolate but you'd better hurry up and get there as it's almost gone . . .

kingabby thats my setup pretty much also. cept a diff style clip that goes under the belt on my ross holster.

Gary believe me or not I don't feel it digging into my belly. I find it comfortable enough to carry all day but not too comfortable I don't feel it. Even in the care it is very comfortable. It might look painful but not so.

My everyday carry is a S&W 640 with a desantis clip grip. I dare someone to find a more concealable IWB setup no matter what firearm used. Literally disappears under anything you wear even a thin white undershirt and is comfortable enough where I don't even notice it.

thats a holsterless clip iwb?

Yup sure is. Some do not advocate holsterless carry for fear of accidental discharge but the way it sits in my waistband my leather belt blocks the trigger guard and there is no way for anything to catch on the trigger. Also when it is in the waistband with your belt tightened the thing wont go anywhere, I could do cartwheels and it wouldn't fall out. Once I had to catch up to my buddys car as he was leaving a parking lot and had to run at full sprint to catch up. Did not have to put my hand on the gun while running once during the sprint and the gun stayed snug in place.

I carry a snub 99 percent of the time , 5 rounds , plus one speed loader.
I think in most cases that will get me out of trouble or the bad guy out of my way. :)

i think im now in the market for 357 snub...a 640 maybe?

im set on hammerless so that narrows the field..the lcr looks bulky.

dont wanna but another holster but the one i got id a ross j frame and idk if itll fit or not

how do ya carry a speedloader..loose in pocket?

My every day carry is a revolver as well. I carry a S&W 640 loaded 357 magnums and 1 extra speed loader.

Occasionally my job requires me to go in to bad areas (for Idaho :p ) When I go there I throw in an extra speed loader and then wear my Coonan Classic in a shoulder rig with 4 extra mags.

all in all it is 50+1 rounds of 357 magnum.

I love both type of guns but the one that has the best chance to save my life is my EDC and that is a revolver!

S&W 642 goes everywhere. Ruger SP101 or 1911 with extra mags might go if trouble is expected. Fortunately, I live in a laid back area where trouble is rare.

DejaVu: My every day carry is a revolver as well. I carry a S&W 640 loaded 357 magnums and 1 extra speed loader.

I don't own any magnum guns but 4 revolvers only. Normally I carry my
CA 44 Spl Bulldog primary, and backup revolver is a S&W 38 Spl 642
My other two are a Taurus 851 38 Spl and a S&W 625-5 45 ACP, the
latter one I only carry with a fanny pack if I should carry it on occasion,
as it is a bit hard to conceal the way I dress.

I know others swear by their SA's and thats fine. I trust revolvers more myself. It seems like every time I go to the range to practice and the
range instructor shows me one of his SA's (including the one I qualified with)
they either have a malfunction with the magazine, or because it is an inexpensive one, or some other reason. I am not saying revolvers are better
because I don't have as many rounds without reloading or switching guns.
I do carry 3 Speedloaders of 5 rounds for the CA 44 Bulldog and one speeloader for the backup gun 38 Spl. I guess I just never got comfortable
shooting SA's although I use one to qualify with. I might eventually buy
a 9 MM SA. Just thinking about it. Oh, and I carry a small container of 10 loose 44 Spl rounds.:)

I carry either, all depending on the circumstance and whim of the moment. I especially like carrying my Colt Cobra snubbie in hot weather when dressing lightly. But when I know I have to be be in an area where trouble is part of the forecast, a high-capacity, auto goes along for the ride.

Well the S&W 642 Spl is airweight stainless steel, 15 oz, the CA 44 Spl Bulldog 3" I read somewhere weighs about 19 oz feels like more, but I have not actually weighed it. 3 Speedloaders for the 44 Spl and one for the 38
actually fit in a shirt pocket.

As for bad crowds, I avoid all kinds of crowds. Unfortunately I don't have control over the criminals that keep getting recycled. Don't plan on running for judge nor working as a police officer in my condition. My intention is not
to become a victim. Trouble is, that the older we get the more we look like a good victim to the criminal element. You know the CA 44 Spl is more like a J frame, just slightly bigger, so not a lot of weight there. I will admit that the
S&W 625-5 4In Long Colt is too heavy for me to tote around, but I bet a lot of people on the forum here tote one that heavy or heavier. I read somewhere it weighs 43 oz. I am sure someone here knows the weights of all of them, probably from memory but I don't. :o

I switch back and forth between a Charter Arms 38 undercover, to one 38 K frame or another. Either a Model 10 or a 15...depends on what I feel like carrying.

I've got a couple of semi's but they stay at home.

I carry one of my revolvers. I have a 1911 R1 but have never carried it . Most of the time it is my S&W model 64. Sometimes it is one of my S&W snubs either my 36 or 60.
