Or the AP being an arm of Al Jazeera? It certainly seems that the donkey party (I am done with giving any validation to the thought that they give a damn about democracy) certainly is. I've heard several references to AJ carrying a lot of US politics and cheering on Pelosi, Reid, et al.

Saying that A supports B simply because B supports A is not a reasonable assumption. Just because Al-Jazeera (or Islamic extremists) cheer on Democrats does not mean that Democrats support them or are "an arm" of them.

No more than Ron Paul getting the support of white supremacists or militant separatists means that he supports them.

It just doesn't necessarily go both ways.

EDIT: Though I'll agree that when two parties' interests coincide often enough, it's not unreasonable to question one's support for one due to the nature of the other. But some people just try to make it sound a little too simple and black-and-white.
