Replacing my Glock 19 with S&W M&P 2.0

I have only shot the M&P Compact 2.0 a handful of times as a buddy of mine owns one and is kind enough to let me shoot it on our range trips when they happen.

That said, I prefer the M&P over the Glock 19 myself, and it is purely due to personal preference. I've found both pistols to be fine, reliable firearms.

I prefer the trigger on the M&P, I find the sights easier to line up quickly, and the grip fits my hand nicely (Glock grips and I are not great friends)

That said, none of these factors have much to do with reliability or accuracy of the gun, just personal preference. Shoot what you prefer.

Nice shooting Stang, what distance? Looks like it's a wash as to which is more accurate in your hands.

That was Twenty rounds at Seven yards. To be fair the grouping sizes would probably be even closer if I had different sights on the 2.0. I’ve always used Warren sights. I decide to try the Trijicon HD XR’s on the 2.0. I don’t care for them. I shoot better with Warrens.
But yeah, it’s a wash during slow fire as to which I shoot more accurately. To date I’ve shot 2,200 rounds through the 2.0 without issue.

It could most definitely be the sights making the difference; my 19 started with XS big dots, and I tried very hard to like them, but it ended up with Trijicon HDs, just like my other 2 Glocks.

I don't think you are losing anything with the switch, it will be just as reliable and in your hands more accurate.

Since the Glock Gen 4 came out Glocks especially the 9mm's have been throwing brass at peoples faces regularly. Including the 3rd Gens made at the same time. It is not limp wristing or weak ammo. The limp wristing, and weak ammo is somehow usually strangely fixed by an APEX extractor.
Limp wrisiting and weak ammo are excuses offered by Glockaholics. A gun should not throw brass back at you. Having said that APEX got mine working.
The 2.0 Compact has been rock solid reliable, very accurate,a great trigger, and a much more natural grip angle for me and most others. I will keep my G19. But it is my Smith that rides with me most of the time now.

I installed these in both my M&Ps...not because they needed it, but just because. :-)

Any one here replace their Glock 19 for a M&P 2.0?
Not only did I replace my Gen 4 Glock 19 with the M&P 2.0 Compact but I also bought the M&P 2.0 4.25" and 5" and sold most my Glocks. I did keep a Gen 3 17 I've had for over 15 years but it might be going too since I bought a 19X. I've got such a selection of Glock mags and holsters that I guess I'll always hold on to at least one. After 25+ years with Glocks I just got tired of settling for something that didn't feel right in my hands. Bought the XDM, APX, 509, and the P10C...sold them all and kept the M&P. I do regret parting with the 509 a little, lol.
