Reno:"The finger was not on the trigger"......

CHEMNCO917,
If I were Bush, I'd be taking my case to the
Hispanic sections of Calif, NY, and Fl.
I would show the pictures of the INS agents
to their community and ask them if they want
another 4/8 years of this. Bush might even
get enough Hispanic votes in Calif to carry
the state. He should also go after the
Puerto Rican vote in NY. He could really
give Gore hell over this.

Yanus, what will it take to wake you up? Do you still today not recognize your and the enemy of this Republic? History of the last 70-80 years clearly shows it won't make one damn bit of difference whether gore or bush wins the corruption will continue. If you want to make a difference toward restoring a constitutional government then you better start singing another song. How about voting third party? Check out harrybrowne.org

This is the inevitable result of training police to dress, and think, and act like military, with a "them" and "us" attitude - where "they" are the enemy, to be terrorized and killed without mercy.

Finger on trigger or not, I suspect that if someone had made a move or there had been a loud noise, Janet Reno would have been saying that "We had to kill him in order to save him", just like she did at Waco. BTW, Janet Reno has a lot to answer for, but Ruby Ridge was not on her watch.

I suspect Al Gore might just have lost Florida, California, New Mexico and Texas, although he probably never counted on the latter anyway. This has gotten the Hispanic community stirred up, and it is not just the Cubans. There were Puerto Rican, Mexican, Nicaraguan, Colombian and Salvadoran flags in those street scenes.

Could all the Democratic efforts to register Hispanics in California backfire now? A lot of people are asking whether such force would have been used if the people had not been Hispanic. Things will be interesting.

Agreed. The entire Elian thing has been FUBAR by both sides in the case, but I think we can take some solace in the fact that the Clintonians, including The Evil Al Gore, are taking the biggest PR hit. This image isn't going to be forgotten quickly. Good.

Reno's playing the "Look, there's Elvis" game. It's amazing how they brag about how efficient the raid was, and say nothing about their faulty intelligence.

She should be asked where her "intelligence" came from that said there were guns in the house (the excuse for all the firepower). She might also be asked how many guns were found in the house, and if none weren't, was the "intelligence" source going to be reprimanded?

It's a wonder they didn't claim the magazines weren't loaded and there was nothing up the spout.

The finger was not on the trigger...

Okay, kids, don't try this at home. Point at loaded gun at a police officer. At your trial, say, "But my finger wasn't on the trigger. The officer was in no danger."

Pointing a gun at someone is aggravated assault. Period. Sometimes it is justified, but it is always assault.

Apparently Willie wants us to live in a society where the only people pointing guns at children are federal law enforcement officers.
