My experience with Remington Golden Bullets is that they group pretty well at 50 yds considering they are HV's. They have been consistently minute of squirrel in rifles that I have shot them in. They are not target ammo nor are they considered high quality ammo any more. Years ago, it was different in terms of "ranking" as they were my ammo of choice and were always cheaper than CCI (and still are). My thought is... what are you shooting at that a small failure rate is such a big problem? The failure rate is not as bad as it was 10 years ago.
I seldom buy bulk packs. I would guess I have maybe 10 in my ammo cabinet (Yeah, I know, that's about 5,000 rounds). I use them when I take kids shooting or just for plinking. Always had pretty good luck with the Federal Lightnings (510's) which I accumulated a pretty health cache over a period of time. When they were less than $2 a box (50 ct), I was buying about 500 rounds a week and generally did not shoot them up as I have other stuff too.
