Another vote for the Vanguard. Have owned both, but currently own only the Vanguard. IMHO it is superior to the remington action in everyway except weight, but 6 ounces is a small price to pay for the better package. And to the whole keeping $$ in the U.S., if it weren't for Weatherby's bread and butter Vanguard rife, how many less American workers would Weatherby be employing at their California plant? Face facts, we now live in a global economy, which has benfieted Americans more than any other country in providing a higher standard of living.
