Reliability of revolvers vs. semi-autos

When I took LFI-I, there were
about 50 people in the class,
3 were shooting revolvers.

Two went belly up for awhile
and had to go to the blacksmith.

There were the usual auto jams that
could be cleared. The only unfixable
one was the one Beretta 92 that
lauch a little lever into space
never to be seen again.

For what's it worth, there were about
60% Glocks in the course. No SW 3rd gen
auto if I recall. A smattering of HKs,
1911s and Sigs. One Makarov, One Keltec.

The revolvers were 2 41 mag SW and
a SP101 357. One thing about the 41 mag -
the guy shooting it had his hand turned
to burger bits after two days.
