Redhawk back in production?

They could solve that so easily by going full or half lug based on the SRH existing lugged region, ie the Alaskan frame portion of the gun.
Most agree that the Alaskans are good looking snubs.

Aside from weight I can't understand why they decided on that tank cannon impersonation amalgam....

I agree. I have never considered owning any SRH besides the Alaskan because they look ridiculous. A change like this could break me of my original RH dedication and put a new Ruger in my safe...

I think this is the photoshop image in question. Imagine the solid goodness! Of course, I do like the aesthetics of a fluted cylinder...

Actor Dwayne Johnson used Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan .454 Casull in the 2010 movie Faster! And he was shooting pretty good and with one hand grip only! I wonder, I wonder how he was so good....

It really does look great! I actually like unfluted more.

That photoshop job is one reason why I like the look of the Taurus Tracker models.
However, I don't think I'd be prepared to take a punt on those and I can happily live with my "plain jane" , fluted 4" Redhawk: my favourite!!

Ruger's active in new revolver variations for this year, but after the beating some of us took 6 months ago on saying the Red would be back in production, that's all I'm saying for now. :)

Wait & watch.
See what shows up.

Thank God for the used market. I got a used like new blued 5.5" 44 for $450.

I was waiting for a new 4" stainless but I love my new/old gun, it's coooolllll.

I believe this is a photo of the new Redhawk snub everyone's been referring to in this post. It will be available for certain in .44 mag, through Talo Distributors, very soon .... if not already ! In the pic it appears to be very well balanced. I like it !
