Redding Imperial Sizing Wax

Sizing wax always get's good coment's, only part of the reloading systen that ever has. Hornady wax. I bought a can of it to try out and quit. I wasn't sure I was getting enough on the case. And figured if I could see it on the case, there was to much. But I do use it with my case trimmer. Dab some on a Q-tip and lube the inside of the case with it, work's great!

I used STP many years ago. Worked fine but had to be careful not to get to much on or you will dent the case shoulder's, ask me how I know! And after sizing I used to clean the case as it came out of the die. Piece of 0000 steel woll in one and electric drill in the other. In the drill was a worn wire brush with 0000 steel wool wrapped around it. Hold the case and insert the brush with the drill running. Hold it so the drill will not turn the cse. Just a sec and the inside of the mouth will look like brand new. Keep the drill running and loosen your grip on the case just enough to get the cae spinning.Boy it's been a long time since I've done that. Only had the copper wire brush's bac then, bet it woru with one of those stiff new type brush's, I don't know what they are called and I have one.

Just a though, speaking of those new brush's that aren't made of copper wire, I've started using them to really clean a barrel. Then I start with Sweet's and if you use a copper brush, the patch will always come out dicolore. Not necessarily from the barrel but rather from the brush.

If you can't find the Imperial wax locally, a tin of Kiwi neutral shoe polish works well also. Use it just as you would the Imperial.

I use it...it only takes a very small amount applied exceedingly sparingly. I bought two tins when I first switched to it, now after several years I've only used about half of the first one.
