Recommend Holster for CCW

I started with a Galco IWB. Way too loosy-goosy. I was "adjusting" every two seconds. I got one from this guy and never looked back. It's awsome.

However, as someone else said, advice from others is of nominal use with regard to holsters. We're all shaped differently.

There are many good holsters, but for IWB carriage I favor Milt Sparks. It is very important, however, to remember that a top quality (strong, rigid) belt is just as critical as the holster (this is a "carry system" and the belt is really the load-bearing element). I have a 1.5 inch Akers leather belt with a Kevlar insert that is superb: it looks good and does not "shout" sidearm, but is easily supports any load (no sagging or weight on the trousers), due to the stout leather, the stitching, and especially the Kevlar insert.

Nobody ever mentions Mitch Rosen but me. Mitch Rosen makes the finest. I've had a few holsters, but I love the ones I got from him. He's a pretty nice guy, too.

Holsters are a very personal choice, and so I would be very reluctant to recommend one, but will tell you without hesitation or reservation to first invest in a very good gun belt. It won't make any difference how great a holster is if the belt can't support it properly against your body.

Shoot Jimmy an email, he will take care of you.

KHOLSTER
(like Crossbreed SuperTuck, but cheaper)
**$45 and you are all set for life**

If not, a $10 uncle mike's IWB from midway should be fine.

Just in case the suspense is killing anyone, I ordered a horsehide Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe. Because of the good advice received here, I ordered one of their belts as well.

Thanks to everyone who replied.

Good for you, I hope you like it. I've heard lots of good things about the Crossbreed holsters. Maybe someday, when I come out of my old fashioned, set in my ways shell, I'll try one. :D

Exactly what I got.:) Let us know how you like it!

Having owned three Milt Sparks (two VMII and one Watch Six) I will say this.
The VMII is very well built, but I find that the Watch Six conceals better and is more comortable.

What beats them both, though, is the UBG Striker I.

Nate is a great guy to deal with, too.
