Recieved my Smart Carry holster today

Okay, just got it! At first, looking at it in the bag, feeling the weight of it (not saying it's heavy, just speaking in generalities), I was happy to see how small it was, but in the back of my head I was thinking "this just isn't going to be comfortable".

I can't yet say whether I am pleasantly surprised or slightly disappointed. I will say that it is a lot more comfortable than I thought it would be. My only complaint thus far, and it's not really the holster's fault, is that my 442's grips really kinda get stuck hard in it, so pulling the gun is going to take a lot of practice. But, this holster very well may allow me to carry this gun in the summer heat without changing my light dress style that I prefer.

I'll give a further review once I've worn it around a bit. I will say one thing: for the way that I dress, this DOES seem like the ultimate option.

Note: After putting my revolver into the pouch off my body I see that my handles are not in the pocket. I'm not sure why drawing is tougher than I've seen in videos. It may be because of the revolver's small grips.

I own two of different sizes. I have carried everything from a j-frame to a G-23 to a Taurus 431 (3" 44 SPL).

It is a very workable system, especially during the summer when you are wearing shorts and a t-shirt. You can wear looser fitting shorts because the weight of the gun is not constantly trying to pull your shorts down. Plus you need a little looser fit so you can get your hand down the front of your shorts quickly.

It suits a thinner guns better than thicker ones--I can carry the .44 SPL revolver easier than a double-stack Glock which is lighter and smaller.

I only use it when wearing shorts/t-shirts or shorts with no t-shirt. If I have long pants, IWB suits me better.

This looks really good. I just ordered one based on the pictures here and on the SmartCarry website. I generally carry IWB, but have yet to find a holster I really like. With this, I like the fact that it won't pull my pants downward and that it's sweat proof. It also looks like it will work comfortably with a wide variety of guns and wardrobe options.

Thanks for the info.

I'm thinking that obviously the smaller the gun the better this set up will work, but will it handle full size(1911, 92FS, etc.)? I'm pretty short(5'6")and carry a few extra pounds so that might be a factor also.
