I just got home for work so I haven't had time to try it until now. In just the first few minutes of reading the instructions & trying it on w/ my Glock 26 I'm VERY impressed!! Even while sitting & having an extra mag, it's more comfortable then I thought it would be.

I use one sometimes. Loose fitting pants help with the comfort. I had a chance to meet the old guy who owns the company. He carries a 1911.

Thanks a ton for the link. I had come across those holsters before and thought about getting one, but forgot the name of the company/holster.

I've had my SC for about two years and can attest that it is a very flexible carry method. I have carried a number of different guns it in and have had sucess with all.

Don't be afraid to experiment some with it. I find that if I wear it somewhat to the right it works better for me. Somewhere recently I read a post in which a guy wears it on the outside of his trousers at 3:00 o'clock and covers it with a large shirt. I don't recommend this approach but it does show just how versatile/flexible the SC can be.

Thanks for the tip DC. I'll try to adjust it here & there ... but only under my shorts. Wearing it outside is odd in my book. Seems like a good way to get busted.

I've been contemplating one of these. Can you go to the bathroom easily? What about drawing? Is it easy to draw?

Going to the bathroom isn't a problem as long as you pay attention to what you are doing. Tucking everything back in takes a little longer (shirt tail goes under the SC in the front but over in the back).

Drawing depends on how tight your pants are. That's why I recommended loose fitting pants (pleats also help). You can actually draw without giving away your intent. Just pretend you need to "scratch" and nobody knows you are about to draw.

One more thing. There is a compeditor called Thunderware. I don't think it is as good. For one thing, the SC has a special lining that wicks away moisture away from your gun. Thunderware doesn't.

I'm extremely pleased with mine and can't seem to wear it out, no pun intended.

It doesn't fit everyone's specific needs and every carry situation, but it sure does fit mine.

Best accessory I've ever invested in.

Couple of myths to bust:

1. It does NOT point at your package. It lays to one side and points parallel to the top of your thigh.

2. It is NOT "too slow" to practically draw from. I can consistently draw, point, and fire in less than 3 seconds.

For anyone who has to carry under deep cover and simply cannot risk exposure with belt carry, it's the best thing since sliced bread.

I tried Thunderwear about 10 years ago, any gun I tried and it was like I was packing wood.....:barf:

Even while sitting & having an extra mag, it's more comfortable then I thought it would be.

Good to know, I am thinking about buying one for myself.
Were there enough space to put in a larger frame handgun or was the G26 (THICK) took over the whole space?
Did it jiggle around when you are moving??

:cool:Thanks

I met the guy who invented thunderwear at a gun show a few weeks ago. He said he sued the smartcarry guy and won. I felt bad cause the first thing I said was "hey dad its the smart carry" :o
But yea, those things are nice! I don't know if I would be ok with having a gun near my crotch though, you know, personal preference

If I recall correctly, the only think the Thunderware guy won in the suit was that SmartCarry had to change its name to what it is now.

I didn't like mine. But the wife loves it so I'm not complaining. The holster is a good idea, just doesn't fit my preferences.

I have Smart Carried for 2 or more years.
I have a Medium, and Smartcarry my
- G33
-G19
-HK USPC
- G29
- J frame
- Compact 1911's
- Sig 228/229

Just about every gun I will carry, fits in this one holster
Ya get the picture. This has to be the best $20 I have ever spent.
I smart carry when ever I wear shorts(or warm up pants), anytime I go to a "no carry" event, or when ever possible. Bout the only trick is taking a leak(somtimes ya get a little on ya:eek:)

Ya had me right up to that point!
All joking aside, that is the WORST part of S.C.. You just have to adapt. I find that it is easier with Jeans than warm up pants(or elastic waist bands) as you can reposition the clothing and holster easier.

Just took the plunge because of the trial period, and am very excited about trying it out. I dress VERY lightly, and am trying to find a way to carry my 442. I have high hopes because of all the great reviews.

:)
