reasons clintons presidency was so bad

Win62a, I'm a godless heathen liberal scumbag who can't keep his pants on ... can I borrow your daughter? I can't promise when I'll return her.

This is the type of conservative BS I get sick of the most. That holier-than-thou, God is on our side only (because naturally all conserevatives are privy to God's political thoughts), all else must be damned libertines because only we know how to live moral, upright lives attitude gets so tiresome. News flash ... there's moral and amoral people on both sides of the aisle, and religion often has very little to do with it.

My apologies to the moderators, as I realize my post is completely antithetical to the guidelines of TFL (ad hominem, insulting, brings up religion, etc.). But then, so were most of the posts on this thread and a few of the others in the past 24 hours.

To keep it gun-related, Win62a, can I borrow your rifle? I promise to scratch its bluing and only shoot ammunition in it for which it is not chambered, since I'm godless pinko scum and don't know how to handle a firearm properly, since I lead an amoral life and all ... :barf:

If you have to ask????????????????

You might not understand the answer.

 :barf:

What? A president who lied? I've never heard such a thing!!!

I think we have established one truth in this thread. Presidents (all of them) lie to save their butts. The fact is all politicians lie, it is part of the game.
There may not have been WMDs in Iraq when we got there, we they had them at one time because Saddam used them on his own people! The screw up was in giving them enough warning so they could get rid of them. IMHO the WMDs are now in Syria or Iran. We did not move fast enough to get them. Also IMHO, Osama was in Pakistan before we went into Afghanistan, how many months of political posturing did we waste trying to get there?
The fact of the matter is this, you will never catch one man by hunting with thousands, it is too easy to evade a large force. We proved in the American Revolutionary War that a conventional force cannot defeat guerilla tactics. The most effective means is to get the hell out of there and let SOCOM do the dirty work, fight a non-conventional war with those who are trained to do it. To hell with "bringing them to justice" let Allah judge them.
Here's to accellerating that meeting.

Urkslaven no offense taken then. IT just seemed directed my way but I state if it wasnt dont worry about it. Sorry if I seemed a bit offensive.

The root of all wars is nothing but "the want" of POWER, nothing less.

We all want to be right even if we are all wrong.

We all die and then what are we taking with us to our grave, cremation or whatever ?... Dignity, Honor or maybe we left it for others to have a better world?

Back to Clinton (I am not into politics), what would be considered better...2000 BJobs or 2000 dead soldiers?

As for Bush, he has now given some military secrets to Iraq by allowing them to learn our military tactics.

Regardless of the size or the looks we should never understimate other people or other countries, any power that is achieved comes from one place only " the mind". Any battle won had a great mind behind.

It is not my intention to offend anyone, I am just giving a few points of view that not even my own children agree with and some may think of it as childish.

I own a gun because I want and not because I need.
I can defend myself with just a simple bronze dragon statuette or an unbrella made of good quality stainless steel frame (this last one proven to be effective) as said by some of you in other post anything can be a weapon.

I may add one more thing that adds to POWER along with a wonderfull MIND and it is "UNITY"

Why are Libs so angry all the time? Is it the cynicism? Is it the weight of the boundless pessimism that does it?

I thought I'd try to add a little humor here as most people nowadays chuckle (at least a little) when remembering the Clinton years.

Yes, there ARE scumbags on both sides of the isle. I happen to believe that the biggest and baddest scumbags happen to be Left leaners (Ted Kennedy anyone?).

I'm not perfect. No one in the GOP is perfect. No one in the DNC is perfect. We're all human when it's all said and done.

However, Conservatism is better than Liberalism. I prefer to be a victor, not a victim.

You're probably not near as stupid with guns as you profess but I'd have to see how you handle yours before I'd let ya touch any of my weapons. (as long as Uncle Teddie (D-Chappaquidick) allows me to have them anyway).

Since they lost their monopoly on power, the liberal/left has been in a petulent funk. Can't blame them, their agenda has been soundly rejected by the American people, all that's left for them is endless carping and irrational Bush-hate.

good thing we dont any constant massive liberal bashing. you throw that stuff out there like it is some kind of answer. anyone with half a brain sees those nonsense replies and well........

has anyone on this board ever said they are a liberal? most of you just generalize about most people who are unhappy with bush. Im kinda getting sick of it.

that is just my sig. i have said in other posts its just a joke.

please show me a contradiction in one of my posts.

There's actually nothing wrong with being a liberal. The problem is that the socialists and statists in the Democrat party refer to themselves as "liberals", whereas they're anything but. Unfortunately, we use the same label when we bash the socialists in their party and "movement".

Let's not forget the pardons he sold on his last day in office.

That alone should earn him so much scorn that he'd be afraid to appear in public.

Larry

It's also astounding that the same people who will rant on and on about the patriot act invading people's privacy, yet fully support the armed invasion of peaceable law abiding citizens in Waco, where dozens were extra-judicially killed in an illegal no-knock raid based on a potential $200 tax liability.

I don't get this type of thinking. Where is the PERSON (not group of people) who advocates this? I don't know of ANYONE who believes this.

This type of comment is a generalization that stereotypes people who don't exist so that the stereotype can be used as a weapon in discussions. Same deal with "liberals" and "conservatives".

It's too easy to label people so that we can toss the labels out whenever we need a quick comeback to a fact that is indisputable. "It's the conservatives who..." or "Those damn liberals...".

Bad discussion or debate technique.

But, back to the subject. Here's a tidbit: If Clinton was such a bad president, why did the strong economy he inherited from GHW Bush do well for 8 years and then continue for almost another year after GW Bush was elected? AND, why is it, that after 5 years, GW STILL can't get the economy together?

Seems kind of silly to be blaming Clinton for the collapsed economy which 6 years later still sucks. You'd think that after 6 years, Bush could have figured out something to fix the problem. But of course, if one blames Clinton and his policies one can easily see (sarcasm) that it's not Bush's fault. Note however, that it is Bush's PROBLEM which he has consistently failed to correct. To our detriment.

Clinton's presidency was bad because at the end it was discovered he was a JERK. Other than that, it was pretty typical. Some good, some bad and lots of 20/20 hindsight from the detractors who at the time were mostly quiet and living well.

you can leave out he got a bj in office and lied about it. that was personall and didnt deserve to dragged into the public. it definetly didnt need to waste 6 months and almost 7 million dollars.
(*font change mine)

Funny, isn't there a high ranking republican being indicted for lying under oath?
