READ BEFORE POSTING! World Trade Center Terror Attack?

Buzz, I don't know how new this is but I heard that the FBI comfirmed via the FAA that 4 air craft had been highjacked, two hit the WTC, one hit the Pentegon and one crashed near Camp David. 'Tis a bleak and dark day in the US.

My prayers go out for all the victims, their families, the emergency service people working at the various locations, and for our country. May we be strong enough to resist becoming a police state in the aftermath of these attacks. As to those responsible for the attacks, may they soon face the never ending hell of serious retalitation.

Thank God the Sociocratic news services haven't thought to put a camera on the likes of Dashel and Kennedy. But that will be comming, gotta blame this on George too. Want to bet how long that's going to take? Maybe the seed this horrible act plants will be one that rids us of the likes of those nutless wonders. Maybe the rest of America will begin to understand that there can be no peace unless we are strong. Side thought..... wonder if the plane in Pittsburg had another destination and somehow someone messed up their plans?

How can they possibly be so cruel as to celebrate at the West Bank? We're talking possibly thousands upon thousands of lives lost. :mad: :mad:
 
Pennsylvannia Flight Not Shot Down?

The plane that crashed in PA was headed for DC.

The passengers on the plane attacked the hijackers and the pilot tried to ditch the plane - no survivors.

This was reported by a passenger with a cell phone locked in the lavatory.
 
The amount of destruction and loss of innocent life in this is truly incomprehendable. I just watched TV for two hours with my jaw dropped. :(
 
Eyewitness reports seeing an American Airlines passenger plane which "slammed directly into the Pentagon..."

The plane hit the outermost ring of the Pentagon ("E" ring) and penetrated all the way into the innermost ring ("A" ring).

The crash shook the entire Pentagon building. Fires are still burning (mostly oil) and there is a gaping hole visible from the outside nearly all the way through that side of the Pentagon building.
 
Whoever or whatever is behind these attacks is evil, pure evil, and needs to be sent back to Hell, where he, she, or it came from.

- confirms disaster, describes sympathy and help.
- refuses to guess at number of casualties, says it will be "horrific"
- goal, at moment, to help as many people as possible.
- situation cries out for people to be horrified, now we must help people and secure order.
- Ptaki in communication with White House and all emergency services, mobilizing National Guard
- UN is evacuated
- states, "New York City has been under attack!"
- refuses to speculate on continuing attacks.

I'm as upset as the rest of you but please remember, don't condem all the Muslims. There are many that are United States citizens. We do not need another Manzanar!

Just came back from my local hardware store...

I purposely went and bought a brand new American flag to fly from my front door. American pride still exists, my neighbors just put theirs up.

Guys - Let's remember that not everyone who you'll see out there who looks like they're from the middle east is a terrorist, or terrorist sympathizer. PLEASE, let's try to talk to any friends who may consider this an excuse for open season on those folks, and try to calm 'em down... I'm personally worried for several of my coworkers, should any sort of "retribution" start taking place... These folks are now naturalized citizens, and good people, and we can't blame them, based upon their heritage, for the acts of foreigners.

That said, we need to figure out where this started, and turn the place into a very large parking lot.
 
Cutter Bombs?

Any reports or verifying the existence of cutter bombs in the base of the towers? It does not make sense, that the planes' impact on the upper floors could have taken down the entire buildings...

(I’ll update as I get info.)

Apparently FIVE flights hijacked:

- AA flt 11 f/Boston to LA (second plane to hit towers) 757 acft 81
souls onboard

- United 175 f/Dulles or f/Boston to LA (reporters confused) (possibly
first acft to hit WTC)

- AA flt 77 f/Dulles to LA, 54 souls on board; possible 767, poss 757,
with crew, 64 persons on board (possibly acft which hit Pentagon)

- United flt 93 f/Newark to San Francisco (crashed at Camp David - no
real damage) 757 acft, other reports say this is the acft which crashed at
Somerset County, approx 80 miles southeast of Pittsburg PA

- Currenly not clear if fifth plane is involved but one source says UA 93
crashed at Camp David. Other source says UA 93 crashed in PA (as
above)
 
Today is also an election day--

FAA confirmed 50 aircraft still in the sky are all safe and on way to their destination(CNN)

From what I understand is, if you get the top floors going down, they will take the levels below with them as the go! So, the planes could have done the damage to take the towers out. :(

I saw one of the towers fall while I was at work looking out the window. :( :(

I can understand the Pearl Habor statement. I was saying that at work today. This will really bring the country together in alot of ways. I just hope it is all about the RIGHT ways.

Along the lines of the Taliban and Arafat professing innocence, is there any news from Iraq? They've certainly got the motive for such a despicable act; we've been hitting them pretty hard and apparently they shot down another unmanned reconnaisance aircraft today. The Evil Person in Charge over there has been squirreling away what money they make from "humanitarian" oil sales for non-humanitarian purposes, and so certainly has the funds available to bankroll this operation.
