re-loading question

There's a certain amount of pride involved with reloading ammunition, I tumble them until they look new in corncob media, sometimes it takes all day.
Post #12 by dehermit touches on an important aspect of case life of straight walled cases like 45 long colt, the amount you have to bell the case for loading bullets is likely the determining factor in the case life. The more it's belled then crimped the more likely the case will crack.
I dislike fighting to hold the bullet in the case and trying to get it straight so I have a tendency to bell it a little more than what might be normal, case life is a little shorter but bullet seating is less frustrating, it's a trade-off.
I don't track how many loading I get per case but it's alot, I have some that must be 20+ years old that get reloaded every winter.
