re-arm Lara Croft

I dunno.. I'm kinda liking the Desert Eagle idea. Might be able to sweet talk our way into one in the evening.. just not a matched set. Bother.

As to pictured of said lookalike.. once (if) I get permission from here, I'll post 'em. I did promise her nothing terribly risque though (sorry fellers :p )

This isn't accurate to TombRaider, but a pair of Broomhandle Mausers would look good.

Then again, that woman could sell Raven 25s to SWAT teams.
 
Remember who the Lara Croft character is. She is heir to a huge estate and can write her own check regarding equipment. She is also routinely encountering dangerous animals, humans, and other baddies who want to remove her from the picture and ambush her at every turn. I would think of her as a dual Para-Ordinance 10mm (heavily customized, of course) kinda gal.
 
Hmm... well I think anything she would choose would still be the last hting I came across in any picture - and I'm quite a firearms enthusiast....

However my suggestion would be a pair of Glock 20s, or possibly twin Desert Eagles in something like .440 Cor-Bon or .44AE (I think these are available DE calibers). Of course I'd have a parkerized or other black finish for the frame and use a hard chromed or highly polished slide assembly.

Or we could get plain silly and she could pack twin Kel-Tec P-32s with pink frames and an AR slung across her back with pink furniture...
 
She needs something with a lot of muzzle flash. Maybe dual 10mm 1911s with carry comps and an M2 variant of the M-16 (with 8 inch barrel).
 
Re-Arm Lara Croft

Well, for my two cents worth...

paired Para-Ordnance P-14/45 with Aimpoint red-dot scopes and backed-up with twin quad mag pouches stoked with Hydra-Shok 230-grainers strapped to those thighs.

Primary arm would likely be a M-4/M-203 combo. Figure HE-FRAG rounds for the 40mm and SS-109 for 5.56mm. Probably could wear ALICE gear and manage to haul 8-12 40mm shells and close to 6-8 30-rd mags.

If that load don't resolve the issue, I think I would just reset the game.

If you can't find two identical DEs, just try to find two of something large and exotic looking. For example, 2 CZ97Bs might work.

At gun shows recently, I've been seeing more of those brushed chrome (or stainless?) Baby Eagles from Magnum Research. Unusual shape, and in chrome they have a striking appearance.

A pair of matching stainless 1911s is fine, if that's all you can find in your area, but for the effect you want, the more unusual the better.
 
If Laura has no arms, I think you should do a before and after shot. First pose her like Venus de Milo, then reattach her arms and give her a weapon! :rolleyes: :p ;) :D

I think that in the first incarnation of the game, she packed stainless-steal Browning Hi-Powers.
In later versions, she was given the twin set of Desert Eagles.
Personally, I've always found the Desert Eagle to be somewhat, well, stupid.
Especially if you take into account the size of the grip on those monsters, it would be quite uncomfortable for someone the size of Lara Croft to handle the DE's. Especially one handed.

personally, I like the original BHP's. If you wanted something exotic or less well known, give her a pair of CZ-75's. Truly a classy handgun. In the case of Lara Croft, I think she'd be a good match with the duo-tone stainless slide, blued frame incarnation of the CZ-75, or possibly EAA Witness.

1911's are always a good choice, too.
It just seems like someone who is a globe-trotting adventurer in the tradition of Indiana Jones should have some traditionally-styled, but highly classy, iron to pack.

I still have the original Tomb Raider for Playstation, and the guns are BHP's. Definitely NOT Desert Eagles, though they might have been in later games.

The guns in the movie were compensated 9mm USP fullsizes, hard-chromed or nickeled or something.
 
ok, I see an model with guns and knives, trying to be sexy (to damn skinny to be a real women), still doesn't answer my question....
