Seriously? Based upon one anecdote? My few Lyman dies are favorites.

If I reloaded more 7.62x 54R I would have found the problem ten years ago. Now that I have the problem fixed I can reload when I find some once fired.

The old Lee Speed dies for straight walled pistol cases did it that way too.

decap and bell
seat and crimp.

Kind of clever design, too bad they discontinued them. It was a single die body that you just swapped small parts to do every step of the process. Worked great on a single stage press when I was just starting out.

there should be a number on the top of the dies to indicate year of manufacture.

I don`t think they date them anymore.
