Range silliness

My range (accuracy sports/San Antonio Tx) is pretty easy we have a NO hosters rule (no quick draw McGraw syndrome) and no more that 2 shots in 3 seconds althogh this souds hard you have to remember that "Rambo" types with there brand new mini-14 or AK that have little clue as to recoil mgt.

only load at the line
no loaded weapons off the line
all firearms must be cased comming in or out
of the building
All Rifles must be less that .50BMG

for an indoor range (100yards) none of these things seem too onerous.

Oh and each station has 2inch of steele between you and the next shooter.

Jeez, next time I complain about driving 45 minutes to my range, I'll remember to smack myself for being an ungrateful bastard.

*Free coffee in the clubhouse.
*5 trap houses.
*Very little business (I'm usually the only pistol/rifle shooter there).
*Unsafe people are shown the door immediately.
*Owner is the RO, and he completely despises FedGov.
*Human silhouette targets are fine.
*Organic reactives are fine. Last weekend, Morgan and myself made scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, and applesauce for the local wildlife.

*When a shooter comes back from the line, everyone in the clubhouse asks how he did, and offers advice, encouragement, and kudos as needed.
*Outdoors. I *love* shooting outdoors.

I'm damn glad the place is there.
