Again I want to thank you guys and particularly the showing of the rifle I am getting with the scope I have with the Warne Rings that work.
I am looking forward to getting to shoot the gun in the next week or so.
I shoot 30-06 as recreational bench shooting (mostly Model of 1917s) and the CZ 453 MT fits right in with that.
It was an interesting search. I am not keen on Wallmart to say the least (and no offense to anyone who does use them, just call it a personal thing).
I did some internet searching and came across a range if laughs and issues.
One listed the Warne 7.3 as modified to work (hmmm, reversible clamp is not modified but.....)
Most were out and many did not say so on the "Not in Stock note" grrrr. Some wanted more for the medium height than the high ones.
One had it for $20 and then wanted $38 shipping (amazing, I may be dumb but not stupid)
One I had to query as the price was ok but they too were out.
Lastly my brother found them at our local (gasp) Sportsman's Warehouse for $27!
There are almost no full spectrum re-loader sports operations in Anchorage (which means Alaska as most of the population in the state is in or withing 50 miles of the city). Last good one was Long Drugs (of all things) who had a hell of a Sports Section (being from the Republic of CA the management really did not like it! ) Alas they shut down years back though I still have components with that name on them.
We do have hope as Cabellas opens next year as does a Bass Pro. We can hope some good opening days sales as well as better component selection as well as bit of price competition (we can't get boxes of 500 bullets, hmm). Hopefully the shortages are over as well.
