Quick question about cost effectve .44s

not .44 mag, but close

the first .41 mag i bought was on of those taurus titanium jobs. it was a decent gun but it was small and felt weak to me. sold it and got a ruger redhawk (hence the username). that son-of-a-gun is built like a tank and i have confidence shooting it with even the heaviest loads.
ruger redhawks in .44 mag are EVERYWHERE, so the price is usually pretty good. had a heck of a time finding one in .41 however. only drawback with the redhawk is that it gets a little heavy carrying around all day :)

The new smiths have sucky triggers? The only smith we have is an old 29-2 (well worn in and super sweet) to compare it with. I'm generally not very fond of smiths but I gotta admit the trigger is a fine point.

My RH needed new grips. It shot low for me and those wood grips made it not very fun to shoot for extended sessions. I put some Pach's on it and it shoots to poa now and is much more comfortable.
