Questions: P08 WWII Bringback Lugar

Nice gun. My mother still has my dad's luger. Was the only gun he got back from the war. Had "requisitioned" a couple of other guns including from his opinion, a beautiful Belgian shotgun that he carried for a while. When told they were shipping back home, they were told that only one gun was allowed. He went out and buried the shotgun and gave away the others. No one questioned what he was carrying on the way home. Was pi$$ed about this for years.
 
My Dad had a collection of German automatic weapons he used to train others in their use.
When his unit pulled back to France, he was in the process of having them dewated for shipment home. He came down with dysentery and was hospitalized.
When he got out, his unit had shipped out for the Pacific war, and his machine guns were gone.
