Question on CVA Rem 44

Truth is, when I saw the pistol, the tag was marked CVA by the gunshop, so I assumed it was a CVA. It wasn't until I got home and disassembled the gun that I saw Navy Arms on the barrel.

I speak Southern American with a dash of backwoods redneck.

Hawg,

Would holding a BP Colt in each hand help with that particular dialect? :D

Just because Uberti starts with a vowel does not mean you use 'an' before it. It is a name and thus does not follow that rule.

Please show me where that rule exists.

The exception for using the word "an" before nouns that begin with a "U" sound as described below may not apply to the name Uberti at all since Uberti is pronounced with an "oo" sound as in the sound that a pigeon makes when it coos.
If someone pronounces Uberti like ooberti instead of youberti then an certainly can be properly used.
I don't see any rule about not using an with all proper nouns that begin with a vowel, the rule has to do with the "U" sound. There have been threads about how to pronounce Ooberti and not everyone agrees.

Use a before nouns beginning with u and eu when they sound like "you" (a European, a university, a unit).

Since the above post is from you, It doesn't deserve to be dignified with a response, since you believe you know everything.

For the rest, a proper name does not fall under the rules for English grammar. It can be pronounced however the owner of the name desires, even if it is not spelled grammatically.

Please post a reference to the rule as already requested.
Some folks like to dish it out but can't take the return or stick to the subject.
I was polite enough to reference my post. :)
