question for single action revolver hunters

When I'm sitting out in a stand, the hammer is back. Then I sit with my finger off the trigger and my weak hand thumb(well actually glove) sitting between the hammer and the frame. That's my safety.

And, as I've pointed out many times, the Three Screw Rugers do work like a Colt.

P.S. You neglected to mention that to be very quiet, you must ease the hammer down to half cock. Then wjhen ready to fire, hold the trigger back as you re-cock the revolver.
