Question about what rifle to purchase..

I paid a little less than that. Yes, I am keeping it all in black. Are you planning to mount the Lucid in front of the carry handle? It may be too high if mounted on top.
 
Ideally I think I should remove the carry handle part, and I'm assuming I can mount it there right? And what length did you get on your MOE hand guard?
 
So you have the removable carry handle? That is a different story. Yes remove the carry handle and install it there. I thought you meant you had the fixed carry handle model. It should use the carbine length handguards. Mine had a fixed carry handle and I had to replaced the upper receiver with a flat top style receiver.
 
Yes, I have the A2, like I said I replaced the upper with an A3 upper. It is odd to me that they would make them both with the exact same model number when one is A2 and the other A3. That would explain the difference in price though. A3s are more desirable and usually a little higher.
