Paladin.....when I refered to cost of spare cylinders, I wasn't considerin throwin em away. Just dropin em can get expensive. Any gun you use for defense or competition should be exercised regularly so that the user becomes/stays proficient. Magazines get dropped at the range, at home, at matches etc etc. A three (or thirty) dollar empty tin GI magazine will most likely not be hurt from dropping. Dropping a precision cylinder is likely to cause disabling damage.....weight of cylinder and precise machining of small surfaces combine to make damage more likely.
