Python trade: do it?

monkeyleg now is a sellers market for pythons.I wouldnt buy now. There are better deals to be had on o0ther brands. For 800-1000 bucks you can have a performance center gun thats going to shoot much better than any python.DONT GET ME WRONG IM A COLT FAN AND I DONT CARE FOR SMITH AND WESSON BUT ,SMITHS PERFORMANCE CENTER REVOLVERS ARE IN ANOTHER CLASS FROM THE COLT PYTHON.
And besides what are you gonna do in a few years when colt starts making civilian hand guns again and the market drops on your 1000 doller python, hell even if they dont crank up production there are tens of thousands of pythons around.there price is inflated and will eventually fall.

Colt Python Trade or buy

Anyone who thinks a Colt Python is overpriced and not worth the effort of owning if you can't work on it your self Is living in Disneyland. I myself have 4 now and have owned over 10 others. They are an Investment as good as Gold. I have never had one go out of time. And even won the 1 and only match I entered with it. You will never out shoot one. The only regret you will have with a Python is the day you sell it. For what decent guns cost They are worth a "Few Dollars More" Can't afford one? Buy a Taurus and let me know how you make out on the Investment side..

Anybody who says Pythons are going for 5-600 is living in the past. Maybe in the worst conceivable condition but the original grips alone are going for 250.

Go look at what they have been selling for on Gunbroker in the advanced search. A shooter not in the very best condition is going to be around $1000.

If Colt again starts manufacturing any revolvers it will be cheaper Trooper type actions, not Pythons.

Kcub.... Can you disclose your source concerning the Trooper?
I was talking to someone in Hartford this past weekend about this very subject. Supposedly this person is "in the know" I do not want to talk out of turn, and I cannot verify the information, so I will just say that you may be mis-informed and leave it at that.

Maybe 12 years old, but it is no secret Colt is ramping up production of some of its old classics... Frontier, Gold Cup, possibly more coming soon. I was hoping perhaps someone else had more info.
