PSA upper issues

I'd say consider yourself lucky that your PSA upper actually functions. Mine continuously jams on the left feed ramp due to bad manufacturing.

I assume you rinsed out the packing grease in the chamber and bolt? That stuff will carmelize after a few shots.

Yes of course. Thoroughly cleaned and properly lubed - several times. It's actually biting into the copper jacket on the bullet, not just getting 'stuck'.

So today I got the chance to run some 855 green tip 62gr. I put the target at 25yrds and got nickel groups. Was hitting some 4-4 metal plated at 65yrds fairly easily. Group on paper at 65yrds was only about an inch. I still think I should be tighter than that, but it seems to be fine.

Sounds pretty good for M855.

I was expecting for under 100yards, half inch. Guess my .17 has spoiled me  . So since this is what the military is given, whats there "good" group standard for 100-300yards?

Seemed like fair group expectations. My buddy was shooting his S&W 1/8 with AE223 getting almost touching, figured the military stuff would stick up against that stuff.
