Prvi partisan ammo

that would depend on your rifle, what type of rifling it has, what exact diameter it has, what the twist rate has and what the throat erosion is like.

I thought my mosin didn't like the heavier stuff because it didn't shoot Heavy Ball Machine Gun Ammo well. I shot some 180 grain Winchester and got a 1 1/2" 4 shot group at 75 yards with them. I think I would try the heavier stuff first. But thats just my opinion.

Your factory sights are set up for 174 Gr FB bullets. Because of that the 180s will be closer to the marked settings on the elevator.

I have half a dozen boxes for the 303 which I haven't tried out yet. THat said I picked up a couple of boxes years ago for the 6.5 to try out and use for hog hunting. The first time out with it, I shot three rounds, my grandson shot three rounds, and my daughter shot three rounds all at the same POA. We walked down to the target and had a 9 shot group at 100yds less than an inch. I promptly picked up another 10 boxes.

If the 303 load shoots as well I will probably do the same thing. I was mainly picking it up for the brass, but I figured if it works I'll just stick with the factory stuff.

I've had mixed results--I love their 5.56 battle packs--high quality annealed brass and great accuracy for the price IMO--but I've had pistol stuff like 380 acp which was awful and I got hit by ricochet fragments from the jackets.

It seems to work well out of my K98 8mm Mauser,,,
I'm not shooting 1" groups with iron sights,,,
But I'm keeping them all in a 4" circle.

I picked up several boxes of PVRI for my 7MM-08. Was about $18 a box. really wasn't looking for how well it shot. Was looking for inexpensive brass to reload.

I also got some boxes of Federal.

The PVRI showed way less need for trimming than the Federal.

I use it in my 7mm 08 and 243 for hogs... its not match quality bit groups well enough and its under $20 a box.
With both calibers on different guns the bolt is harder to close than with Remington or other "name brand" ammo. No Biggie. I head shoot hogs and it puts em DRT.

OTOH, I've come to really like the Academy Monarch (actually Privi Partisan) brass case 9mm ammo. Always goes bang, feeds well in all of my 9mms and the brass reloads well. Oh, and the price is right. Decent range fodder.

Privi ammo

Shot some 180 grn SP out of my two Argentines in 7.65x53 and averaged 3"-5" with iron sights @ 100, which is just OK in my book. But it is clean burning and the brass is great for reloading

the jackets on pistol ammo can have that problem at times. I've had jacket separation midflight with Independence and winchester ammunition. when I was being qualified with the M9, I learned how to tell the difference between shrapnel wounds caused by the jacket separation and the actual bullet holes, my target had over 60 holes in it but I only fired 48 rounds. being hit with ricochets is your own fault, move back farther.
