Proud Taurus Owners

I read a lot of Taurus bashing on TFL, but I have never actually met anybody that had trouble with their Taurus. Only problem I ever had was with a 740 Slim and that was that it was too much power in too small gun for me to be comfortable with. The gun worked fine, just not right for me. I have owned a PT92 which I regret trading off. I still own a PT1911 which I will not part with. I also own a Model 65 I won't part with. Not sure what year the 65 is. How can you tell? I am glad to read about people happy with Taurus rather than the usual bad mouthing. Don't know where the camera is or how to use it or how to load pics on the thread, so no pics from me. Sorry. Enjoy your Taurus. I enjoy mine.

I own three Taurus firearms. A mod 85 2" .38 Spl., a mod 62 .22lr rifle and a mod 63 .22lr rifle. All three are good looking and good shooting firearms.

Loving the pictures. It is nice when people can admit they love or strongly like something . I started this thread because I wanted to hear positive things instead of all the bashing. And did not matter what kind of gun I owned ( Rossi, Charter Arms are even a Jimenez ) if I was happy about I would share and try to get others to do the same. Just because I can't afford a Les Bear,Colt or any other high end gun does not mean I can't be happy. Thanks for the responding to this thread and please keep the pictures ( still love pictures ) .

this is a Rossi, but its still in the Tuarus family since Taurus owns Rossi.
it rides in the truck of emergency senarios.

I have had a Taurus 94 nine-shooter chambered for .22LR for about a year now. 9 shots in a revolver! (Pictured at top.) Seems indestructible. Came with a Hogue-like grip, 5-inch barrel, and Tritium sights. Can be scoped. All for $368, including taxes and background check. Like it very much. My other handheld is a Ruger SP101 six-shooter in .327 fed mag. (Pictured at bottom.) Happy with both.

I think it's great for gun owners to partake in sharing their respective enthusiasm for their cherished firearms. Most of us have obtained them either via 'sweat at the brow' or perhaps a family heirloom either of which make them that more special.

I have guns from many different vendors and Taurus is but one of them. In particular, I have three and could not be happier with any of them (though it did take a little fiddling with to find a load I was confident with in my PT-25 BUG). I still say that the PT-92 is the 'Flagship' model of the Taurus Company though some of their newer designs appear to be pushing the envelope if you will is a state-of-the-art kind of way. Mine has over 5K through it with no mechanical issues whatsoever--it's a true combat/competition gun no doubt. My 24/7 OSS Tactical is my first striker fired semi so it took me a while to adjust to it coming over from my 92. That being said, it's designed so well that it makes me look like a better shot than I truely am. Lastly, my little PT-25 'mouse-gun' is surprisingly lots of fun to shoot (thank goodness I have a lot of .25acp ammo from bulk buys back in the day as the .25acp ammo price has gone through the roof)!

My camera leaves quite a bit to be desired but nevertheless:

Man there's just something about a good-looking revolver that gives me that itch. I think a wheel-gun will be my next purchase and has, in fact, just been defined as my 'New Year's Resolution.'

I no longer own even one revolver and that must end.

-Happy New Year

Old 454
I had a Taurus .454 Raging bull, I loved the gun but I sold it due to the cost of Ammo

Now that would definitely bring in the New Year with a HUGE Bang! I have always wanted either a .500 or .454 just because, but your monetary point is well taken. I just don't have the necessary environment for reloading which would surely simplify things.

-Cheers

I own 3:
-A Model 85 Ultralight (38 Spl) bought for home defense;
-A Titanium Tracker in 41 Mag bought for bear defense...I love that gun...
-A Model 85 hammerless given to me by a relative who no longer needed it; one of my most CCW's guns.

They all shoot well and reliably.

Does anyone have the Taurus C2 G2 Carbine?

Thanks for the lead (I wasn't even aware it was close to emerging from prototype stage). I have a few pistol carbines (SUB2K 9mm and HP .45ACP). Looks very interesting indeed...

I was "traumatized" as well. Some things you just don't need to show. You might try re-sizing your photographs.

I've got several Taurus handguns. They have all been flawless, and fun to shoot.

Good deal. I like happy customers.

.454 casull raging bull

Ya the ammo was steep in price, but I am going to start reloading this spring so I might reaquire another 454 bull, but in the mean time I picked up a .50 AE, love the big calibers there a ton oh fun to shoot
