Pro-gun bumper stickers

noelf2:

I carry where it is legal to do so.
Places such as the post office, hospitals, schools, ect. I do not carry.
These are dedicated trips to and from no stops in between.

I was a victim of violent crime some years ago.
I got some training and started carrying and stopped worrying.

The only real worries I have today are when will I find another 10lb jug of powder - LOL!!!!

You have made your point and maybe missed mine but that OK:)

No I understand your point. If it's something you want to do (and it's legal), do it, and don't concern yourself about consequences that are probably very remote at best. If something bad comes of it... C'est la vie ;)

No stickers on our cars.
Why advertise and invite trouble?
Besides thieves and the political retards, there's also the possibility of police trouble.
I have thought of putting some stickers on my old pickup, though.
And putting an empty gun case inside, with one of those pop up fake rattlesnakes in it.
It'd definitely need a small video camera aimed at the case, though, for instant Youtube fame.

Today's world, I'd worry about some anti-gun idiot keying my paint if some pro-gun decal were on the car. And, as a maybe, some dude breaking a window to hunt for the "gun under the seat".

In Austin, there were some break-ins targeted at NRA sticker cars a few years ago.

Another nasty was that when the CHL instructor classes were held, the instructors had to leave their guns in the car for the class. Then the cars were broken into for the guns. That rule was changed.

Anyone can be offended by a sticker. At work, someone had a Darwin fish car vandalized. A genius defended the vandalism on our internal chat as offending their religion. That was called a clue.

My only sticker:

20 years ago we had Reagan, Bob Hope and Johnny Cash
Today we have Obama, no Hope and no Cash

(timeline may have changed :))

No one pays attention

READEN METAL a Florida state flag and my NRA sticker. No one has ever said or done a dang thing to me or my car.

Most of the folks are too absorbed in their smart phones.

Gun owners get labeled as 'Paranoid' a lot

Considering our .gov's penchant for disregarding the Bill Of Rights and most other aspects of a civilized society I'm puzzled at why we'll are the only ones that are paranoid.

Bumper stickers are only good to help people know which cars to vandalize or break into. Anything conceivable 'controversial' will only serve to eventually trigger someone with no impulse control to act out their irritation on your property. Places you've been or things you've done? Cool. Things you believe in? Why do you need to broadcast it with something as irrelevant as your mode of transport? You won't convert anyone, might tick people off, and at best are simply trying to seek needless affirmation from already like-minded folks.

Put it this way; you walk back from the grocery and someone parts really close to your car...

(yes, it could easily be a 'shop, but bear with me)

What. Do. You. Do? Or rather, what do you not do, since you are a responsible gun owner with good impulse control. Now, imagine yourself as someone not so bounded by reason, coming across your vehicular political display?

I keep my car clean as since I go to college I don't want my car getting keyed by some hippie over a Ruger phoenix. I actually have seen a car with trijicon stickers and other gun references that appears undamaged but why risk it

30 years ago, I would have had no problem with NRA stickers or similar on my car. However, things have changed for the worse since then and today I will not have anything like that on my car. I do have a "Vietnam Veteran" bumper sticker on my truck along with my old airlines parking sticker on the back window, but I put them on in 1987 when I bought the truck.

Basically, it's not so much a matter of fear/worry, it's just that I choose not to tempt fate. For that very same reason, I don't bungee jump, either.

While on the subject of cute/funny bumper stickers, one of our locals managed to find one that says: If you ["heart"] NY, take I-40 east.":D
