Presidential Race 2008

If enough other people have the courage to go with me, the entire game will move. And that's what integrity is all about: standing for principle no matter what. I stand for liberty. What do you stand for? Surrender? Compromise?

I guess I stand for reality.
After the election is over, you and Bud from Pigeon Pass will be able to say "Damn, if we would have carried Godebo we would have had half of Wanker County". Then you can go on the internet and complain about how Hillary is taking your rights away.

:D Thanks for the laugh, that was good. Seriously, however: our rights will be taken by the R just as easily as the D. Unless the R is a true conservative...and I'd sure like to see one run, believe me.

But I will not compromise my values to vote for a bad choice, even when it is a good one in comparison to that horrific hag from NY. Reality for me is: the honor and integrity to vote for whom I trust always trump my selfish desire to see a "less evil" candidate than the D win.

Your "values" are all well and good until the likes of Hillary/dean walk into the White House. I will take the lesser of two eveils any day of the week. If there were a third party who had a prayer, and was not Libertarian, Id vote for them, but I will not vote on someone who simply cannot win. I will take a someone not actively attempting to rape me over a convicted rapist any day.

That must be out by Godebo.

I think thats down between Smithville and Idabel, where that Aryan Nation camp is.

Here we go again!

[sarcasm] Vote for Republicans, because they stand for small, limited government and Liberty. Any other vote is a vote for the socialist Democrats. [/sarcasm]

Reality is what we make it. If it came down to a vote between Clinton or Guliani/McCain, it will be a lose - lose vote. In which case, voting your conscience will at least be a vote for your integrity. Any other vote will be a vote for tyranny. A vote for red lizards or blue lizards is still a vote for lizards.

But this is really down the road, as yet. Right now, the focus will be on how many Republicans will lose their seats because of what they and this administration have done in the last 5 years.

I honsetly do not see how voting for the candidate to like the most, who has a chance, is a lose-lose. Me, I study the VIABLE candidates, and pick the one who is MOST CLOSELY alignd with my views.

The 2A is not the only issue, my friends. There are others, believe it or not.

but I will not vote on someone who simply cannot win.
so If Adolf Hitler was running and was the clear winner you would vote for him.

I personally am at the point where im probably going to give up the Democrat/Republican addiction and roll the dice.

I could not vote for either. However, if the Dems had Hillery I would have to consider who would be best for the nation. I am not sure even then that I could vote for McCain or Guliani. Both are liberals in my mind.

I do not think either of them can get the nomination, but I did not think Bill Clinton would be elected!!
