Back & forth on uniforms again. I remember when we put sailors in coat & tie uniforms. Only, we forgot to give them some place to hang them up rather than crumple them up under their rack. Nothing looked worse than a sailor on liberty looking like he was wearing a wrinkled sack of p**p.

At least with the sailor suit, it could be rolled up and still look presentable when it came out from under a rack or out of a seabag.

It bothers me that in this day of readiness problems the new CNO's priorities are uniforms.
 
Silly sailors! The swabbies should just wear Nomex navy blue BDU's and dress like the rest of the known universe. Those demin things they wear are sick. Or maybe in combat zones, they can go to a light grey Nomex color to cut down on flash burns. But at least with BDU's, they look like they're in the military, instead of escapee's from a Village People video. Semper Fi...Ken

Stupid question: I saw in the news where some knucklehead protesters were talking about using the target range for farming. What idiot thinks they are going to plow on a piece of dirt that's been peppered with live ordinance for the last several decades? Hey, look! There's one that didn't go off!

IMHO they should post signs on the perimeter saying KEEP OUT- TRESSPASSERS WILL BE STRAFFED AND BOMBED , then resume practice. Wouldn't you love to post a sign like that in your yard? :D
