post your .45 auto pics

Here is my most-fired .45, a Series 80 to which I added a few mods myself many years ago. The grip safety is an old Wilson unit. Both it and the Brown ambi safety had that reddish tint to them out of the package (cast parts don't blue very well sometimes).

Over 15,000 rounds, and still looks nearly new!

Man, There are Some Nice Guns Shown....

So, here's another! At least to me! Nothing fancy on this LW Commander, but it shoots and carries well for me.

Best.

Here's my bastardized 1911. Military surplus Colt frame with a Mil Surp Ithaca slide. It was rebuilt in the mid-1970's with new barrel and internal parts, adjustable sights and a pretty decent blueing. I acquired it and added the Pachmayr grips, mag pads and comp. I recently purchased some other upgrades (ext. safety lever, commander hammer, extended grip safety, etc.) that I waiting to get installed. Then it's going to Mac's Gunkote for refinishing.

Springfield Armory "Loaded" Stainless, mildly customized, fitted with rosewood grips off a Kimber Custom LE. Still looking for those cool carbon fiber panels...

My Norinco 1911A1. This pistol has over 8000 rounds through it, mostly in IPSC competition, so it's showing some honest wear. The only parts I didn't install myself were the Bomar adj. sight and the front FO sight.

Hey bro what kinda knife is that. almost looks like my Benchmade Pinnacle.750. ATS34 Metal with titanium handles. The only thing I have in carbon fiber is my Benchmade Ares. I want CF grips 2 let me know if you find some!!

:D

That knife would be the Chris Reeve Sebenza, of legend(BG42 blade steel, Ti handle). Probably the best production folding knife made today, better than some customs I've owned. I've been paring down to the knives I actually use and my Sebenza is the top of that user list.
Soon I'll have the Springfield too, just gotta wait for the legal wheels to grind a little bit longer, but by March 6, I'll be a happy .45 guy. ;)
Then I'll post apic of my .45(sigh, I hate waiting)

Hey It's not a .45 or .38 super but it is built on a 1911 platform so that should count !!!:D

1911Fencer, that post had me ducking for cover. Something about the business end of a .45. It's like staring into a sewer pipe.

45rookie,

prodigalshooter has it right, of course. That's a Chris Reeve Sebenza, my favorite knife and constant companion. If there's a better production folder on the market, I have yet to see it. Simplicity and strength...an awesome tool.
