Post-Columbine Revolution In Swat Tactics

Doughnut eaters making head shots with pistols? Gives me the willies...

This is what they should be issuing cops (except in a decent caliber like 10mm instead of the silly 4.6 x30) hell this is what teachers should have locked in their desks & what the rest of us should be able to have tucked under our car seats.

This gun has a retractable shoulder stock, a heads up display sight & is only a bit bigger than Hk's .45 cal SOCOM pistol.

Hey I am a doughnut eater! I love doughnuts and they make more of me to love. ;)

What gun is that? How much and where can I get one?

John,
A Glock IS a rapid-fire weapon... when compared to something like a Brown Bess, Kentucky rifle, blunderbuss, bow and arrow, sling and rock... I think I see the agenda they are pushing. Hmmmmm.

I think I was careful to say that we dont have to take "guidance" from lawyers. You are right however, we do have to answer to one eventually. We're just fortunate that they dont hamstring us up-front like they do the police.

Point is, if the first responders at Columbine were a couple of armed Dads, free to do what came naturally, instead of a couple of police, trained to secure the scene and wait for orders, the outcome may have been very different. Just MHO.

I've been trianed and practiced for the last ten years that I should NEVER,NEVER,NEVER give up my weapon! I'm subjecting my will and authority to the whim of a scumbag!

I'm taking the headshot and I'm sorry about the hostage's laundry bill!

This is a direct result of the unwillingness of the population being unable(through legislation)/unwilling to provide for their own self-defense. Lets face it, if the Columbine shooters were attacking a police headquarters with armed police men inside, they wouldn't have even lasted 5 let-alone 17 minutes. Politicians disarm everyone at schools - except the criminals - and we are supposed to surprised when this stuff goes down?

Unfortunately, civilians stopping crimes with firearms isn't in the media's agenda right now, else we would be hearing about it every night.

What happend to the Deputy who arrived at the scene first, and what did he do?

We don't hear to much about what he did.

The first cops at the scene were armored and armed with pistols, with shotguns likely available. They certainly weren't outmatched by two guys with 9mm carbine and a 9mm pistol and no armor or training.

As Oleg said, They weren't that well armed & obviously (like most nut cases, fortunately) couldn't shoot worth a dam, or else they'd have been able to kill dozens (or was it hundreds) like they had planed.
I heard a dispatch tape of one of those first guys on the scene (I think THE first one) literally screaming to the dispatcher about how REALLY big the gun they had was.

Cops are there to mop up, it's up to YOU to decide who they'll be mopping up off the floor.

The cops were there in 4 minutes what more do we expect? They 're people, JUST LIKE the rest of us.

I had heard that most of those killed, were killed with the sawed off shotguns can anyone confirm or refrence that info.

Thanks
