Ported or not?

Hope this clarifies the situation
It does, thanks... Originally, when you said he fired "across her body", I pictured waist or low chest level. But at chin level... How's her hearing???!!!

Still, I was trying to imagine the position while driving into work this morning. My natural firing position would have been at an angle that put the cylinder gap pointing about 45' upward and towards the passenger, with the ports pointing about that same amount away from her... But then again, I'm a leftie, so trying to use my right hand in a firing position may not be how a true rightie would do it.

Wondering if he got the BG ?
Me too... Sounds like a good story for Preacherman to start a new thread with :D

Bottom line, two rules of thumb:
1) when firing a ported handgun, keep ports and muzzle away from anything you don't want to injure.
2) when firing an unported handgun, keep muzzle away from anything you don't want to injure.

Yes, CZGunner and Onslaught, he did get the BG - one round left-center of chest... end of hi-jack attempt, permanently! He also got the lady, I'm pleased to say - they were married nine months later, after she'd recovered from the flash burns. (I asked him how he'd proposed to her through the bandages, and what she'd said about his scorching his loved one. He told me I didn't want to know! Still, things seem to have worked out in the end.) They have two fine sons now, and I baptized the second one during a visit to their town a few months back. Nice people.
