I was knida surprised by this one...

.40 caliber is the second most popular round carried? I sort of felt all alone with my G27! :)

Kentucky Rifle

.40 S&W - G23

I'm surprised by the results of the poll as well. I thought the .40 would be way out there leading the pack. At present its slightly behind the 9mm.

Gotta have my Glock 30 when leaving the house ...although I have been know to take my G23, and Sig 229 occassionally :)...

I prefer shooting the G21 but find myself carrying the G30 most of the time (partiuclarly in the summer). I am looking to buy the first used G36 I find. If they bring out another 45 caliber (like a fullsized single stack) I'll have to buy that too.
A friend once told me I have pathological predispisition to the 45 caliber. I'm still trying to figure out if that was a compliment or a criticism.

G17

The one, the only, the original, the G17!
(actually its the the one, the only Glock I have ever shot or owned.:) )

Glock

I prefer the .45 for various reasons..........#1..ammo availabilty..tons of military surplus of .45 everywhere, so if things ever get tight i should be able to find plenty...#2...45 has adequate stopping power withoout overpenetration...#3..I already have a 9mm..just in case 45 gets scarce.... #10 mm an overpenetrate and has a bit more recoil than either the 9 or 45, hence a bit more of a delay between follow up shots. Each to his own of course, The .45 just has these advantages over the other calibers IMHO.
