Police Authority, et al: Part II

FWIW, the "Blue Wall" was built with bricks placed by both sides. I for one would like to see it restored to a blue line. Real simple goal right? For me and me alone, no one else but me, the capstone of the wall is "Rule number 1" get home alive. I hate that statement and could go on for hours about it. INSHO, "rule nuber 1" should be everbody goes home, except the ones that F* up.

Another FWIW, my impression of "Rob the Cop" is that he says "Rule number 1", but would do everything he could to make sure he didn't go home alone. Gotta respect that.

I had a citizen report an officer I worked with was stealing from a construction location while on duty. Since I KNEW of this information I had to report it. I closed the door to the Chief's office and filled him in. He frowned and said, " I don't need you bringing me information like this." I told him since I was told I had no choice or it would be obstruction of justice among other things. Guess who was immediately laid off?
In another case when my Chief brutalized an old 60+ year old female drunk by tossing her into a pile of horse poop on a 90+ degree day and leaving her there I reported it to the mayor. Guess who's soon to be up contract wasn't renewed? And these were in small towns. Imagine in a bigger city.

I would like to see a more effective, less political InternalAffairs.
And I wish people would stop confusing their local Tac guys with the ATF. SWAT is needed in every major city.

It was said in an insulting post that:

Show me one LEO who defended the Louima incident.. let alone enough LEOs to form any
so-called "Blue-wall".

Please read the reports of three officers convicted for a coverup in the Louima case.
Part of the discussion is that this was done with a meeting with the union rep.

Why did they sink to these levels?

Enuf said by me unless once again we leave reasoned discourse and resort to insults.
