i am getting a glock g43 for IWB carry. i love 9mm and needed a single stack. i have double stack small 9mm (taurus pt111 gen 3) and it was just too big for me. i am skinny- 160 and 6'0. So...are there any reliable pocket carry guns? i have been doing research and so many of the mouse 380s seem to have reliability problems. i am looking for a gun smaller than the g43 that would fit jeans, slacks, and shorts without problems. I like the size of the bodyguard and keltecs. But are any of these mouse guns reliable?

I had a Bodyguard .380 and it was very reliable. Got rid of it during the mouse gun craze due to .380 rounds being very limited to find and absurd prices on the stuff. I would consider another one today, I had a cheap Blackhawk pocket holster for it and it printed about as much as my Iphone 5. My only advice is if you end up looking at the BG , get one without the laser, I found it to be gimicky at best and useless in daylight.
My experience with the mouse guns is you need to break them in thouroughly. Their recoil springs and slides are stiffer than other pistols so you need to fire them a bit to loosen them up and that helps with reliability.

I pocket carry a Ruger LCP. Even though my pocket holster (one that I already had ) is sized too large for the LCP, it still disappears into a jeans pocket.

My Kimber SOLO 9mm is an excellent carry gun. It has the CT setup in the grip. I don't care for laser sighting, but don't have to use it and don't. Targa has hit the nail on the head with these guns. The recoil springs are really strong. I know I'm aging when some of these guns are almost impossible for me to rack the slide.

The SOLO has always worked reliably, if I rack the slide without the magazine, insert the mag, use the recommended ammo and let the slide slam shut. Except, for one instance where the slide lock spring was incorrectly mounted under the slide lock pin. My fault.

I'd heard they would handle 115 gr RN after 300 rounds, or so, of the recommended ammo-147 gr HP. Mine has 300+ rounds thru it; the last time I used it at the range I fired a couple of 115 gr RN mags without a hitch.

It is exceptionally accurate at 10 yards and below, capable of hitting the 1 inch bull. I can, on occasion, but know a couple of folks who do it consistently.

after looking these over the ruger, taurus, and sw bodyguard seem to be reliable and pocket sized. i am going to have to go look and shoot them

The Keltec P32 is about as reliable as you can get. Very easy to shoot. Smaller, thinner, and lighter than any of the .380s.
I carry one.

Regardless of what I have on my hip, I always have my Ruger LCP in my back pocket. It's not the most accurate handgun, but it will work up close.

My Kel-Tec P3AT has yet to malfunction after many hundreds of rounds. I have had it around five years. I believe it is still the smallest/lightest 380 made.

My light alloy snub 38 has never malfunctioned either, but it is a little bigger than the P3AT.

So...are there any reliable pocket carry guns?...so many of the mouse 380s seem to have reliability problems. i am looking for a gun smaller than the g43 that would fit jeans, slacks, and shorts without problems. ... But are any of these mouse guns reliable?

My LCP has been reliable. Not fun to shoot, but reliable.

I have been looking at that market, as well. The front runner for me is the Taurus TCP. Buds has them for $190 right now. It only comes with 1 mag,but they have the mags for $18.28, so you can pick up 2 spares and still be out the door for $226.56 + ffl fee. Not bad, says I.

These little guys have a lot going for them, from what I have seen, and I am hoping to have one for when shorts weather rolls around again next Spring.

Yea the Taurus looks nice. I have a taurus pt111 and its been 100% reliable for like 7 yrs now. I cant get the thing to mess up and I try to mix up ammo and stuff. Taurus is impressing the heck out of me lately...good reviews, prices, and features. The keltec looks good too. I like the size but i havent heard great things about them...although I admit those were things from the early 2000s so I am sure they have fixed their issues. I really need to compare all of these. My main goal is to get one that I know I can always carry. so I guess that width is going to be my main selling point especially since the glock 43 I am getting is going to 1.02 and will be pretty concealable.

I've owned the P32 and carried one for years. It is great in the pocket, but 32acp suffers from rimlock sometimes. Nowadays I find the Glock a good balance between small size but ver y comfortable to shoot accurately. Probably more durable also.
